For the fourth time, Consulting released its annual ranking of the profession's Fastest Growing Firms—a celebration of the industry's top movers and shakers in terms of revenue growth. This year, Suwanee, Ga.-based Avelead topped the list as the profession's No. 1 ranked firm.
Avelead achieved a stunning growth rate of 1,808 percent between December 31, 2015 and December 31, 2018 to lead Consulting magazine's ranking of the profession's Fastest Growing Firms. The second ranked firm was Washington Business Dynamics, which grew at 1,361 percent while Simplus—last year's No. 1 firm—grew at 1,037 percent—finished third. With a 900 percent growth rate, Impact Analytics was fourth and Ankura Consulting Group placed fifth with 863 percent growth.
Additional consulting firms rounding out the Top 10, include: Element 78 (699 percent), Emergent Method (634 percent), The Savan Group (430 percent), Helio Health Group (320 percent), and A-LIGN (308 percent).
In all, 52 firms qualified for this year's ranking and those firms compiled an average growth rate of 233 percent. As if that's not impressive enough, the Top 10 firms on the list averaged 837 percent!
We highlighted all of their stories, growth rates and interviews with their leadership, along with photos of the gala awards dinner held at the University Club of Chicago late last month in a 66-page Fastest Growing Firms special section. It's an impressive collection of rapid-growth firms that are shaking up the industry. This recognition is aimed at up-and-coming firms that too often go unrecognized because they are not necessarily the biggest or best-known firms.
Growth brings opportunity and these 52 firms are teeming with them. That's why they are among the profession's most impactful consultancies right now.
