Ni2 Health is another newcomer to the Best Small Firms to Work For making its debut at No. 8 on the list. As if that wasn't enough, what excites co-founders Jason Adams and Ron Kero is Ni2's ability to innovate & act as thought leaders to help clients navigate and improve financial performance in a constantly changing environment. Both Adams and Kero are Principals and Chief Executives of the firm.
"Change is everywhere and change brings opportunities," says Adams. "As our clients' reimbursement models change, we pride ourselves in being thought leaders to support and guide our clients towards optimal solutions that address both the reimbursement and expense side of the business."
Maintaining that 'edge' for technical creativity in solving problems excites the team and brings forward many opportunities to address long-standing challenges that are now at the forefront of the industry, Adams says. "Now more than ever healthcare organizations must leverage technology, work by exception and understand their business and the changes in their business each day," he says. "This is where Ni2 excels and is excited for this new wave in the industry."
Along those lines, Kero says the firm's top priority over the next 12 months continues to be its focus on both adding top talent and developing and retaining the talent it already has. "As Ni2 expands its reach we are steadfast in maintaining the quality of the delivery in service to our clients," he says. "Without the best talent it will become a challenge to maintain the highest standards for execution and delivery."
The firm's goal, Kero says, is to build a Team of Stars and to "challenge our team members to give their very best to Ni2 each day. As we grow and introduce new team members to Ni2, we do our very best to ensure that we create a clear path to success roadmap for each team member."
Ask Adams what's unique about the firm and he'll say Ni2 Health's focus. "What sets Ni2 apart is our very detailed and data driven approach to our engagements. Being a small firm, we are able to maintain our nimbleness and react very swiftly to the changing needs of our clients in a very rapid manner."
As far as being one of the Best Small Firms to Work For, Adams says since 2016, the firm's guiding principle has been to demonstrate every single day an unwavering commitment to service excellence to both clients and team members.
"This should reassure our Ni2 family that our focus is in the right areas and that we are committed to providing an engaging environment for personal and professional growth and development," Adams says. "This should also send a very clear message to our clients and prospective clients that they will benefit by hiring a firm that has a highly engaged workforce that is committed to providing the best service possible."
On the survey, the firm excelled in the areas of Client Engagement and Leadership. Why do you think that is?
Kero: We feel we excelled in these areas because from day one we've had a very conscious focus on these areas. We maintain a laser focus on always doing the right thing and to always serve our clients' best interests, regardless of impact on our immediate profitability. With regards to Leadership, we attribute this to our level of transparency and just plain caring for our team members. Ni2 is very transparent with our team members.
