Here at Consulting magazine we're all about recognizing the accomplishments of consultants who are making an impact in the consulting profession. Not only do we recognize them, but we also celebrate the outstanding work they do day in and day out. We're really all about giving credit where it's due.

In this issue, we highlight 61 different consultants for jobs well done—from 40-year industry veterans with our Lifetime Achievement Award all the way to the Rising Stars of the Profession, some of whom have only been in the profession a few years. Beginning on Page 8, we unveil this year's Top 25 Consultants, an annual ranking of the most influential consultants in the profession right now.

Last year we added a 26th award to the Top 25 celebration—the Lifetime Achievement Award. This year's recipient, A.T. Kearney's Paul Laudicina, graces Consulting's cover.  For nearly four decades, Laudicina has been focused on the "essential rightness" of the work consultants do. He is Partner, Chairman Emeritus of A.T. Kearney, and Chairman of the firm's Global Business Policy Council (GBPC).

He served as A.T. Kearney's Managing Partner and Chairman of the Board from 2006 to 2012, taking on the role after the firm regained its independence through a management buyout. During his nearly 40-year tenure, he guided A.T. Kearney through an extraordinary turnaround, recording consistent double-digit growth and expanding its global footprint by 30 percent to include offices in nearly 40 countries. We're thrilled to be able to honor him, and all the Top 25 Consultants, at our New York gala in June.

And speaking of galas, we held our annual Rising Stars of the Profession awards dinner last month in Chicago. As usual, it was a wonderful evening full of great speeches and stories from those that will define the future of the profession. What an impressive collection of consulting talent under the age of 35.
