Protiviti opened a new Member Firm in Cairo, Egypt. The new location is the first Member Firm in North Africa, and the Cairo office is led by Managing Director Ashraf Fahmy. The Protiviti Member Firm network in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region also includes Member Firms in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
The economy in Egypt has been growing, including in the services sector, with GDP growth exceeding five percent in the 2017-18 fiscal year, says Andrew Clinton, executive vice president of international operations at Protiviti. "Protiviti's expansion of the Member Firm network into Egypt reflects the country's remarkable economic progress over the last three years," Clinton says. "Egypt is a key northern gate to Africa and having a Member Firm in Cairo further expands our network in the region. The consulting team in Egypt, together with other Protiviti Member Firms in MENA, serve clients across the entire region. The Cairo Member Firm plans to expand its team of qualified local professionals over the next few months.
