Longnecker sat down with Consulting magazine to discuss the firm's three-year revenue growth and outstanding financial performance.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?
Longnecker: There are several: Our clients referring other clients was the largest increase, and by far the majority contributor to our year over year growth; the opening of our Denver office in 2017 grew above expectations; increased executive compensation tax changes and increased executive compensation litigation created more demand for our services; our newly developed website and search engine optimization also increased our total number of opportunities; and even our competitors recommending us to opportunities.
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Longnecker: 2018 will be another record year, with earnings growing 15 percent over 2017.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2019? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Longnecker: We project 2019 Earnings to continue to grow another 15 percent. The opportunities will be more referrals; our R&D tax credit business and modeling our Dallas office after the success of our Denver initiative.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2019?
Longnecker: Well, there are three: hiring the right people; staying sharp and current; and, expanding our 'footprint; into new areas like valuation.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms this year mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Longnecker: We consider Consulting Magazine as the U.S. Gold Standard in the professional services and consulting business. We are honored to be associated with so many great companies recognized for their growth and overall contribution to the consulting industry and market. It is a great testimony to TEAM and all we have positively purposed to be—yet we still have so much more we can do for our people; our clients and our profession!
