Excellence In Information Technology

Principal

When Josh Davidson began his career, he didn't set out to start his own business. Yet, along with a colleague, that's exactly what he did when he launched Silent IT—and he's never looked back.

"Coming from a company with a respected brand and reputation like Accenture, I'm humbled by the fact that our early stage has been able to attract some of the most talented people in the industry," Davidson says.

While at Accenture, Davidson recalls great advice he received from his career counselor. "He told me that I was great at solving technical issues but terrible at working with people; I needed to learn empathy and put myself in their shoes if I wanted to advance," he says. "This advice has served me very well throughout my career and especially in growing Silent IT. Putting ourselves in clients' shoes, understanding both their personal and professional goals, is critical to helping them be successful."

Davidson says he likes to work with businesses of all sizes and types. Silent IT's agile approach allows the firm to apply creativity, new ideas and pragmatic solutions that help to transform businesses. "Our focus on technology modernization is much more than just implementing solutions," Davidson says. "It requires a deep understanding and appreciation of business needs and a keen ability to apply technical capabilities that don't just fix the past, but more importantly, solve for the future."

Ask Davidson what's been the factor to his success and he says, "I do not work alone." Great teams can make or break a successful project, he says. "I have been fortunate to work with great people who are vested in building and growing our business," Davidson says. "The most important thing that I try to instill is a strong ability to empathize with our clients."

And being named a Rising Star of the Profession, he says: "I couldn't be more excited about where we are, the team that's joined us, and our trajectory of growth."
