The HCI Group

Excellence In Client Service

Vice President of Client Services

Jake Morrison started in the Healthcare industry at the age of 22 on the provider side where he became a Lead Super User on a new EHR Implementation, which opened doors in the Healthcare IT industry. He joined The HCI Group three years later as the youngest Regional Vice President over the Midwest and Canada, in charge of business development in the regions. Morrison was responsible for bringing HCI their first Canadian client in 2013, which still is active today.

"I have lead complex, multi practice initiatives across concurrent projects resulting in successful cost savings implementations for the nation's most prestigious hospitals," Morrison says. "I am fortunate to have been treated much like an entrepreneur resulting in the rapid growth and expansion at HCI, over a five-year period."

Morrison says he is thrilled by the international trends he's seeing. Healthcare facilities around the globe, even in emerging countries, are adopting Health IT at a rapid pace. Today, Morrison oversees HCI's Client Services team, which is a hybrid team developed to grow accounts and ensure effective delivery. He says the opportunity to work with the greatest healthcare organizations and its leadership with diverse backgrounds excites him the most.

"In addition, constantly being exposed to project unknowns allows me to develop my own personal brand as a thought leader and the ability to mentor my own internal team," Morrison says. "It's fun to be surrounded by such smart, hardworking and passionate people that help each other to learn and improve every day."

Meanwhile he says his persistence and hard-work have helped him get where he is today. "You must always be able to adapt quickly to your surroundings and provide real time solutions to the task at hand."
