Kevin Braine

Kroll

Managing Director EMEA, Compliance

Kevin Braine is Managing Director and Head of Kroll's Compliance practice in EMEA, based in the London office where he has extensive experience assisting clients in areas such as pre-transaction due diligence, hostile M&A support activities, third party agent screening, and market and competitor intelligence gathering.

Among his greatest accomplishments, he counts "overseeing the way the Kroll EMEA Compliance team has grown and developed over the last year and getting some fantastic talent to join the team," he says.

"Picking the right people to work with—supportive, innovative and ambitious line managers, collaborative enthusiastic and driven team members, and clients who are genuine in their desire to ensure that their organizations do the right thing when working with third parties—is one of the biggest factors to my success."

In fact, that aspect of consulting—putting together a dynamic and diversified team of talented consultants—is one of the things he enjoys most about consulting.

"I love heading a team focused on detecting and preventing fraud and corruption in the wide range of situations that our work covers," Braine says. "I particularly enjoy the variety that comes with working with companies operating in a huge range of sectors and from a large number of locations."

Meanwhile, Braine has managed numerous outsourced anti-bribery and anti-corruption programs for a wide range of financial and corporate clients.

Over the last 15 years, Kevin has held key positions in top firms assisting clients with business intelligence and regulatory due diligence, including having been involved in work that helped a kidnap case get successfully resolved.

"Nothing beats the satisfaction of doing something well and seeing our work help individuals and companies succeed, while preventing bad actors from taking advantage of various situations," he says.

And when it comes to being recognized as one of the Global Leaders in Consulting, Braine says he is grateful to have been nominated and put forward for this award.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed the last fifteen years working in the field of anti-bribery and anti-corruption and am thrilled by this recognition and I hope it helps shine a light on the area of anti-corruption and fraud prevention," he says.
