Sabin Ephrem, President & CEO of Horizontal Integration, sat down to discuss the firm's financial performance and success.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?
Ephrem: We're fortunate our original vision of a digital agency and staffing agency together under one roof lines up well with where the market has moved. This translates into flexibility for our clients: our digital agency can provide our services on a project-by-project basis, while our staffing agency can supply consultants that know how to help our clients be successful.
Consulting:How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Ephrem: 2017 is another strong year for us; we've won a number of awards and we're busy hiring top talent to deliver exceptional results for our clients. We continue to expand our physical footprint—both office space and personnel—beyond our Minneapolis headquarters. We recently opened an office in Dallas to support our growing client portfolio in the southern United States.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2018? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Ephrem: Our growth and success is the result of careful planning and a realistic approach to the market. We aim to continue with our aggressive growth strategy while also being pragmatic. This includes hiring exceptional talent and continuing to expand our geographic footprint.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2018?
Ephrem: Our challenges continue to be closely aligned with our opportunities. It's about smart growth and managing change. Our culture is a big part of our success and we need to evolve it carefully to preserve the elements that matter most.
