Consulting caught up with Frank Camean, President & CEO of 4SIGHT, to discuss the firm's financial performance.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's growth?
Camean: The successful delivery achieved on client projects, the growth of our brand, our talented team of individuals, the strength of our software partnerships, and the repeat business from our clients have been factors to our exceptional growth. Those clients who believe in a vested partnership, who have demonstrated continued faith and trust in our team, have been an important part of this growth and one we treat with paramount importance.
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Camean: The size of our team will end up being greater this year than ever before. Over 10+ hires were made so far over the course of this year which will position us for a great 2018. One of our software practices is breaking record numbers in terms of revenue, staff, and number of projects.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2018? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Camean: The outlook is forecasting that next year could be our best year ever. Each of our software practices are growing, some practices are seeing more net new opportunities compared to previous years, software upgrades are on the rise, decommissioning of older technology is at the forefront because of security considerations, transportation & workforce initiatives are being evaluated because of changing market demands, and direct to consumer fulfillment continues to be a growing buzz not only for fulfillment and distribution strategies but also for delivery strategies.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2018?
Camean: The uncertainty in the economy, a growing competitive landscape, continued layoffs at the larger IT staffing companies spring the startup of new boutique firms, consolidation in the marketplace, and low-cost competitors are challenges to face as we head into 2018.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Camean: It means we're doing something right. It gives us all a good sense of comfort, faith, trust, and security knowing we have the components of a successful formula that starts with common values and beliefs. An overarching sense that we're in this together, because our success is only possible as a result of each other's success. Having achieved this recognition for the third consecutive year is especially gratifying because it confirms we recognize the components of a successful, sustainable and growing formula.
