Morris sat down with Consulting to discuss the firm's financial performance.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?
Morris: We have brought UK and European retail expertise to the US, where our clients have told us that what we offer is different and refreshing. Our ability to field a small consulting team, which works with a much larger client team, transferring our skills and partnering with them to design and deliver change enables us to scale the work quickly. By working with the executive team right through to the frontline staff, we help to create a line of communication and action that runs throughout the organization, often giving a voice to those who have been hidden.
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Morris: We continue to grow in the US and the UK. We were delighted to win the UK consulting industry's most prestigious award, "Best Change Management Project" for our work with Walgreens here in the US. We're strengthening old relationships and building new ones. It's an exciting time for Egremont Group.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2018? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Morris: The outlook is rosy. Our strength is in helping large organizations with a dispersed workforce to achieve transformational change. To that end, we are constantly in conversations with prospective new clients in the US and the UK. In an uncertain world, where the only certain thing is change, organizations need to be able to embed the ability to change into their DNA. We call that being 'changeable'. That is a huge opportunity both for our clients and for us.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2018?
Morris: Our biggest challenges are to keep growth at a steady speed and to continue to recruit great people to our team so that we can continue to deliver the quality that we have become known for.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Morris: We are thrilled! It's a badge of honor, recognizing all the hard work that we have done with our clients, rewarding both them and us for delivering exceptional results.
