The new firm brings together more than 50 employees and 250 consultants across the nation. "Our team specializes in EHR implementation, training, optimization, legacy and go-live support, project management, and strategic advisory services," says Rachel Marano, Managing Partner of Pivot Point Consulting. "Our clients range from large multi-hospital networks to academic institutions, pediatric hospitals, and local community clinics." Consulting caught up with Marano to discuss Pivot Point's position, performance and prospects.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?
Marano: Pivot Point Consulting's growth in the past year was due to multiple factors, including acquisition of complementary companies, a "Happyology" culture that attracts the best consultants and internal staff, and an expanded line of healthcare IT services.
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Marano: Things are going well for Pivot Point this year. Not only are we growing our team, but we're also expanding our service line, which now includes support for ERP implementation, long-term training, and technology services.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2018? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Marano: The biggest opportunities we see are in our continued efforts to serve clients with our advisory services, ERP implementation assistance, and optimization efforts across all technology investments.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2018?
Marano: Any company that grows this quickly will be challenged to maintain the quality they're known for and the culture their employees appreciate. Pivot Point will no doubt face these challenges as well.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Marano: To be named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms means that Pivot Point's commitment to excellence is paying off. Consultants want to work with us due to our reputation within the healthcare IT industry, as well as our team dedicated to consultant care. Our internal staff are here and planning long-term careers with us because they believe in our vision and understand their roles in making it happen. Our clients choose us because they value the quality results we provide time and time again. To grow this fast validates that we are focused on the right things: relationships, reliability, and results.
