Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's growth?
Edgar: Our exceptional team and great partnerships with our Clients. Global Conductor is focused on strong relationships with both our team and our clients. One of the benefits of being a mid-sized consulting company that is able to genuinely understand the knowledge, skill level, and aspirations of our consultants. By pairing the correct consultant to a client we are able to achieve more. We work hard to know our Clients' goals and provide the best service possible.
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Edgar: This year has been busy! We are very encouraged by our remarkable clients and the exciting projects we have in process now, as well as the reception we have received at every new engagement. Our past successes and engagement flexibility has allowed us to partner with our Clients, and other consulting firms, in new ways and the results have been great. The industry is ever-changing, but the concept is the same—help Clients achieve success! We look forward to each opportunity to do that year after year.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2018?
Edgar: 2018 promises to be another great year. On a macro-level, due to the low cost of capital, we are seeing companies prepare for growth through both consolidation and expansion, often realized through process and system optimizations—where we thrive. Large-scale process transformations, mergers and relocations, innovative ERP and IT initiatives focused on Big Data utilization, and the need for skilled OCM expertise are all key drivers for us in the coming years.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2018?
Edgar: Recruiting new talent that will allow us to maintain the quality that our clients have come to expect from Global Conductor. We pride ourselves on our background and deep level of experience. Consulting is very much a reputation business. Each of our consultants is an ambassador to our clients who we depend on to uphold our brand.
