I think it's safe to say that, so far, the Donald Trump Presidency has been like no other in recent memory, and probably like no other in U.S. history.

Each day, it seems, brings another round of jaw-dropping headlines and unbelievable accusations. But it also brings something else—big league uncertainty.

It seems anyone's guess is as good as mine about where this is all heading, but we do our best to sort out how this will all affect the consulting profession in this month's cover story, The Trump Effect. In it, business writer Eric Krell asks just how Trump's presidency, policies and politics will impact the consulting profession.

Conventional wisdom says uncertainty abounds and boom times are ahead. It's hard to find an industry sector that won't be significantly impacted by Trump. For starters, Healthcare, Financial Services and Public Sector seem like areas where there will be plenty of change and chaos for consultants to sort out. But wait, there's more—don't forget about Energy, Manufacturing, Retail, Homeland Security and Defense, Education, Federal, State and Local Government, High Tech and Cybersecurity. Did we miss any? I'm sure we did: There are probably other areas still flying under the radar—speaking of flying, do you think there are more consultants walking the halls at Boeing and Lockheed Martin these days?

The implications for consultants are as far reaching as maybe they've ever been. And, in case you just can't remember, we were all pretty busy back in the Obama days, too.

Of course, there's always the possibility that too much change results in no change at all as the legislative process grinds to a halt and geopolitical unrest takes center stage. That's an unlikely scenario, however, since the GOP will want to capitalize on its majority in all three houses.

It's a fascinating time and fascinating topic. Enjoy the read and, as always, we'd love to hear your feedback.
