Excellence in Client Service
Marcia Wakeman likes to solve problems. She likes to make things easier and more efficient. She enjoys making a difference in a team member's career and see them get promoted.
She also thoroughly enjoys helping clients succeed. Many times an outsider can help navigate through a culture more effectively than those inside to make a real difference, she says.
"I've been consulting for the past 15 years and have really found my sweet spot," Wakeman says. "My industry and technology experience helped set the stage for consulting which brings a freedom and creativity to help define the best path or solution for my clients. I am one of the lucky ones who really enjoys what I do. I get to do what I love."
She says the satisfaction of seeing both clients and teams succeed is amazing. "The team that I have mentored over the years is leading and mentoring others on their own," she says. "They are developing their own trusted advisor relationships with clients which is very satisfying to see."
Wakeman is a Partner at Capco and Head of the Banking Group for North America. She has over 18 years of industry and consulting experience.
Ask her what she's most proud of and Wakeman will say: "Being entrusted with leading our NA Banking and Wealth group. My colleagues and peers are an outstanding group of individuals and I have the privilege of leading the team that has had tremendous growth and success over the past year in particular."
In addition, she is "also proud to have had the opportunity to continue to consult with some outstanding clients helping to solve extremely complex business problems," Wakeman says. "Working to find innovative ideas for managing supply and demand fluctuation through to helping our clients re-define how their clients bank in the future has been exciting."
She is a business architect who has helped clients to design multi- channel, paperless, end-to-end solutions enabling enhanced customer experience, revenue generation and operational efficiencies. Wakeman has led many business and technology transformation initiatives for the top 15 financial institutions. Wakeman says it is "an honor and a privilege" to be recognized in this industry with a Top 25 Consultants Award.
"Given the talent of the past and current award recipients I am most honored and humbled to represent my firm, peers, clients, team, and other industry leaders," Wakeman says.
"As part of Capco we are helping change the future of financial services," she says.
"These are exciting times for our clients especially given the change that is occurring in how their clients interact and what services they demand."
