Three years ago, Ross Krusell joined McGladrey's consulting practice as a supervisor in Risk Advisory Services. Within six months, he was promoted to manager. Today, he is the director and the first Technology Consulting practice lead for the state of Florida.
Under Krusell's leadership, the team has expanded the market across the state, helping middle market and Fortune 500 companies alike meet their IT goals. He's also expanded the Technology Consulting team in Florida to include IT Strategy and Advisory, Architecture, Governance and Risk and Compliance professionals, and set the wheels in motion to triple revenue this year over last.
"I am proud that I've had the opportunity to build my own team and watch the impact they've made on our clients and our firm. I'm also thankful to find time to develop myself professionally and personally. I feel fortunate to have had the support that enables me to take risks and make my own decisions," Krusell said of his achievements at McGladrey so far.
Among his varied responsibilities is campus recruiting. His efforts at the state's top schools have netted McGladrey 19 talented recruits over the last few years in Risk Advisory, Financial Advisory and Technology Consulting services. Krusell says making connections internally and externally is a major factor to his success.
"I strive to learn, and that personal connection really allows me to understand our clients' needs and ensure we provide the right people and solutions for the challenges they face. People do business with the people they trust, and it is that connection that makes a difference," he says.
And Krusell says the award recognition proves the efficacy of his work. "It is validation that the work I've done and how I've done it is effective."
