James Dolan, Associate Director of Navigant Healthcare's Life Sciences practice, holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He joined Navigant five years ago, believing his background could be an asset to growing the practice and really make an impact in people's lives.
"I got into healthcare consulting because I believe that there are many ways in which people can impact a patient or family, and that it doesn't end at the clinic. We are only now beginning to understand some of the scientific mechanisms of disease, and with my background, I can stand at the interface of science and business to inform decision-making," Dolan says.
Dolan has successfully leveraged his knowledge in his role as advisor to the firm's Innovation Development Council, providing best practice insight and programmatic direction. He's worked on more than 80 projects in a variety of geographies, including advocacy and awareness strategies for HIV and COPD.
"I am proud of Navigant's embrace of Innovation as a driver of strategic growth, and the leadership role I have played in helping to set the innovation agenda and deliver programs that engage employees at all levels in innovating for the future," he says.
Dolan says he is humbled and inspired by the award recognition.
"I am further energized by the recognition and the affirmation of my leadership that I've earned from practice and executive leadership. I'm looking forward to being a part of a growing Life Sciences business and the growth trajectory that Navigant is on, and continuing to realize success on behalf of my clients and teams for a long time ahead."
