Tata Consultancy Services reported revenue rose 17 percent year on year to $3.34 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2013.
Business highlights include: An increase of $100+ million clients to 22 from 19; quarterly operating profit rose 31.9 percent; a gross addition of 17,362 people, bringing the total number of employees to 285,250. In addition, the firm announced an eight-year title sponsorship agreement with the New York City Marathon.
CEO and Managing Director, N Chandrasekaran says TCS had key wins in the professional services, pharmaceutical, financial, and telecom industries, among others.
