Intellinet 14.Intellinet

First-time Best Small Firms to Work For winner Intellinet says the award validates the firm's vision of being a "profitable, growing company that delights customers and provides an excellent employment experience," says Mark Seeley, President & Senior Partner of Intellinet.

But Seeley says the firm's customers may be the biggest benefactors of the firm's focus on excellence, as it continues to incorporate purposeful best practices of strategic clarity, organizational effectiveness, change management and business alignment into all the firm's strategy, process, and technology projects. "The impact to our customers' bottom line and the ultimate success of their business technology initiatives rely on these operational and cultural integrations," he says. "This honor validates that a clear vision focused on material client impact can provide great corporate benefits as well."

To that end, Seeley says the morale at Intellinet is very high because employees truly believe in the firm's strategic vision and can see the results generated for clients. That morale got a boost with a recent strategic shift. Projects used to be purely technology-centric, however, three years ago the firm shifted the business model to focus more upstream on IT strategy, business process optimization, and enterprise transformation.

"Our employees were amazing through this transformation, evolving with us to provide more of an end-to-end consulting experience for our clients," Seeley says. "Our clients couldn't be more thrilled with the increased value creation our new integrated service offerings provide."

And that type of leadership isn't lost on the firm's employees. On this year's survey, the firm's scores excelled in the Leadership category. The firm's leadership team, Seeley says, fosters the traits of servant leadership, innovation, and the motto of 'Promises Kept.' Meanwhile, executive communication to the company is frequent through 'Executive Minute' e-mails and conference calls, internal social media, company meetings, and quarterly 'Breakfast with the President' events.

Intellinet Intellinet aspires to be the best place any of its employees have ever worked, Seeley says. In 2012, the firm created a Culture Committee that meets quarterly to ensure it's engaging employees and creating a productive and fun working environment. Through the committee, the firm developed an "Excellence by Design" model that highlights employment experience in eight areas—Exciting Work, Camaraderie, Rewards, Professional Development, Financial Stability, Giving Back, Health & Wellness and Balance.

In addition, Seeley says Intellinet's employees highly value the firm's commitment to supporting the non-profit interests of employees. Through its 'Intellinet Serves' initiative and the Intellinet Foundation has supported over 40 local, national, and global charities since the firm's inception in 1993 and has donated over $200,000.
