Migliore says over the past 12 months, the firm made a strategic business decision to significantly enhance the internal support structure for consultants, including a complete overhaul of consulting resource management, performance evaluation, knowledge management, and continuing education/training.

"We wanted consultants to know that we were committed to them for the long run and to provide them with a number of options to better meet their career objectives, he says. "They are the true assets of this firm and our job as the leadership group is to provide them with the right level of support to succeed. This was not a one-shot deal," he says. "It's become part of the overall business strategy."

And that strategy helped propel Citisoft all the way to No. 4 in terms of overall firm culture on this year's survey. Culture, Migliore says, is the bind that keeps the consultants together.

"While the reputation of a firm is important, understanding who the people are and what they think of you will contribute the most to long-term job satisfaction and success," he says.

He also says the firm did a much better job of listening to what they needed from their consulting partners and adapted the service model to meet those needs by significantly enhancing our delivery capabilities.

"Our top priority will always be our clients and the results we achieve for them. We continue to see unprecedented growth in our business and we will stay focused on what we do best," Migliore says. "We want to be No. 1 on this list in 2014."
