It may read "Principal" on Jessica Kosmowski's business card, but that doesn't begin to explain her roles and duties at Deloitte. She is Chief Marketing Officer for Deloitte's Strategy & Operations practice, a leader in Deloitte's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice, oversees the Deloitte Innovation Center and mentors several female professionals at Deloitte, and has played a role in developing the careers of her clients.
Kosmowski says she is incredibly proud to have led the Deloitte team that helped Cisco acquire NDS group. "The $5 billion acquisition was the second-largest in Cisco's history, and we helped Cisco build the foundation to integrate the two companies and enabled the company to deliver a seamless and positive video experience," Kosmowski says.
"In all, the NDS acquisition added a set of new strategic capabilities, expanded Cisco's video footprint in new and emerging markets, broadened its service provider presence and deepened customer relationships. It's very fulfilling to have played a role in this transaction, which impacted Cisco at the very heart of its business."
And why stop there? Kosmowski was also instrumental in Deloitte acquiring Monitor Group earlier this year. "This was a crucial acquisition for Deloitte and significantly accelerates our ability to provide fresh insights and serve clients from strategy through to execution," she says. "I helped lead the onboarding of the Monitor team, and oversee brand, eminence and marketing integration."
Through her oversight of the Deloitte Innovation Center, she helps translate Deloitte's ideas into sales and client delivery efforts. "The Center has been the driving force behind new client offerings across several different topic areas including supply chain analytics and sustainability," she says. "This past year we published a report on global supply chain risk and then held the first-ever Argyle Supply Chain forum.
But Kosmowski says the single biggest factor to her success has been the people that she's been surrounded by. "I have an amazing team of people working with me who drive our strategies forward," she says. "It may sound clich
