Capgemini year-end revenue for 2012 was up 16.4 percent in North America. Globally, the firm reported a 5.9 percent revenue increase for the year.
Organic growth in the North American region of 7 percent was driven by the vitality of technology services and consulting services. With an operating margin of nearly 9 percent, North America remains one of Capgemini's most profitable regions, according to Paul Hermelin, Chairman and CEO of the Capgemini Group.
Consulting Services, which account for 5 percent of revenues, reported a 3.6 percent decline in revenues year-on-year. Despite a slight fall in the operating margin rate in 2012, Consulting Services remains the Group's most profitable business at 11.2 percent, Hermalin says.
