Huron Consulting Group announced its second quarter 2012 financial results with revenues ($144.7 million) dropping more than 5 percent from the revenue it generated ($153.1 million) in the same quarter last year. However, this quarter was up more than 4 percent over the first quarter.
In addition, the average number of full-time billable consultants rose 13.3 percent to 1,302 for second quarter 2012 compared to 1,149 for the second quarter of 2011. Meanwhile, the company updated full year 2012 revenue guidance to a range of $630.0 million to $650 million, including approximately $10 million for the recent acquisition of AdamsGrayson.
"Huron's two largest business segments continued to benefit from attractive market conditions," says James Roth, CEO and President of Huron Consulting Group. "Our Health and Education Consulting segment again had solid utilization in the second quarter, and we continue to be successful in hiring new personnel to meet market demand."
