7) Impact Advisors
For Impact Advisors, 2012 marks the fourth consecutive year the firm has been at or near the top of the Best Small Firms to Work ranking. In those four years, it's no secret that healthcare has been front and center of the nation's collective consciousness. And that probably won't be changing anytime soon.
"The future of healthcare IT continues to be extremely dynamic," says Andy Smith, President of Impact Advisors. Regulatory changes, consumerism, and expectations of a safe and efficient healthcare environment will push us to continue to deliver technology solutions that allow our clients to thrive in an increasingly demanding environment, Smith says.
"This landscape will provide tremendous opportunity and challenge for our firm and associates," he says. "These challenges reward a firm that continues to provide high quality services and allows us to provide growth opportunities to our associates."
And Smith says all of those associates are "aware of our constant commitment to quality and excellence in everything that we do, including how we treat, and grow our associates," Smith says. "Having the distinguished honor of being named a Best Small Firm to Work For is reinforcement that this commitment is recognized and appreciated."
Meanwhile, Smith says Impact's associates take pride in sharing that they work for a Best Small Firm to Work For, and view it as confirmation that as individuals, and as a team, Impact is living its mission to "create a positive impact with one another and with our clients."
Firm leadership, meanwhile, uses the survey to evaluate the firm. Last year, Smith says, Impact specifically used the survey results as a catalyst to enhance the firm's overall communication processes.
The first month of each quarter, he says, Impact distributes a quarterly newsletter that includes a message from senior leadership and a Client Corner. The second month of each quarter it distributes a report that highlights new clients, as well as offers a recruiting update and Impact's financial information. In the third month, the firm conducts a town hall meeting, he says.
Q&A: How would you describe the morale at Impact Advisors?
Andy Smith, President, says: "Employee morale at Impact Advisors continues to be exceptionally high. Since our inception, our leadership team has been dedicated to the satisfaction of our employees and their continued success as individuals and professionals, as well as collectively, as a work family. Our High Impact Awards recognition program is just one of the specific programs we use to encourage celebrating a job well done. Employees are empowered to share a High Impact Award with a fellow teammate any time they would like to recognize excellence in a recent contribution to a project or team, as well as anyone demonstrating their personal commitment to our firm's values.
Meanwhile, Impact Palooza (our annual employee retreat) is another example of how we celebrate our Associates and their family members and friends. Each Associate is invited to bring a guest of their choice and join us for three days in Scottsdale, Ariz. to share in a celebration of our collective success over the past year.
