Agility Solutions Agility Solutions, a 32-person, multi-service firm focused on revenue assurance, internal audit, cost management and risk management solutions, is this year's highest-ranked newcomer to the Best Small Firms to Work For list.

Suzanne Straub, managing director with Agility Solutions, says the firm "is proud to have created a firm where people want to work; where our employees know they are a priority." It's no wonder that the firm scored high on the survey in two heavily employee-centric areas—Work/Life Balance and Career Development—ranking third in both.

"Agility rewards its non-management employees for working more when client demand increases," Straub says. When an employee works more than 40 hours in a given week, those additional hours are added to their standard paid time off hours balance. At the end of the year, employees have the option of receiving a cash payment for their accrued hours balance or using the hours toward additional paid time off.

When it comes to career development, Agility team members share the responsibility for developing and delivering training. Team members rotate the responsibility for periodic training sessions. In addition, the firm maintains an incentive plan to reward individuals who obtain certifications with incentive payments ranging from $500 to $2,000 depending on the certification, Straub says.

Despite the state of the economy, Agility's headcount has doubled each of the last four years and its revenues have tripled in the same time
period. In July, Agility was recognized as the fastest-growing Denver-area private company (with revenues between $1.9 million and $6.4 million) by The Denver Business Journal . "The company's continued growth provides increasing opportunities for our employees," Straub says.
