A.T. Kearney announced it has achieved its goal to be carbon neutral across its worldwide operations by 2010. In 2007, A.T. Kearney established a set of baseline metrics against which to measure its carbon footprint.
Since then, the firm has achieved a 5 percent reduction in 2008, a 14 percent reduction in 2009, and plans to achieve a 20 percent reduction this year. More than 80 percent of A.T. Kearney's carbon footprint is related to travel.
As a result, the firm developed advanced tools to calculate carbon emissions for all travel criteria and measured the carbon impact of travel by employee, office location and client project.
