Booz Allen Hamilton has announced former senior vice president Michael McConnell will rejoin the firm upon completion of his term as Director of National Intelligence.
McConnell had previously served as Director of National Security Agency (NSA) under presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. He also served 29 years in the Navy, retiring in 1996 as a vice admiral.
After the Navy, McConnell joined Booz Allen Hamilton until 2006, when he was asked by President George W. Bush to be his Director of National Intelligence. He will remain in that role until his successor is confirmed by the Senate. President Obama has asked McConnell to continue to serve by offering him a spot on his President Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB), which advises the president on all intelligence matters.
