Things to do when you're sitting in an airport, waiting for a delayed flight. Your mind is tapioca after a long, long session with the client, so you start silently playing "Guess Their Jobs," as your eyes roam around the room.
You've got the status labels: going up, going nowhere, top of his/her game, coasting, and egomaniac (not a mutually exclusive label). Then you've got the business labels, a little harder maybe: technology, Fortune 100, government, academia, engineering, and so on. Sure, this is superficial stuff, but it helps pass the time.
What's more, most of us long ago figured out the judging criteria, which are based around clothing. In the real world, though, aren't those criteria changing along with the shift in dress codes?
