(May 21, 2008) – London – Booz & Company is the name of the new global management consulting firm that will focus on the commercial side of the Booz Allen Hamilton business. London-based Shumeet Banerji, formerly president of the firm's global commercial business, has been named CEO of Booz & Company, and Joe Saddi will serve as Chairman of the new company's 16 member Board of Directors.

Booz & Company will be solely owned by its officers and will have more than 3,300 professionals in 57 offices around the world, according to Shumeet Banerji, CEO of Booz & Company. "The launch of Booz & Company is a significant milestone for our firm," Banerji said. "Our purpose is to serve the senior agenda of the world's leading institutions, public and private. Our singular goal is to assist our clients in creating and delivering essential advantage around the globe."

This launch follows the announcement last week of a strategic investment by The Carlyle Group to buy out the global commercial officers' majority interest in Booz Allen Hamilton's U.S. government business. That move will result in the legal separation of the two businesses as separate firms. Currently, Booz & Company is a subsidiary of Booz Allen Hamilton until the transaction is complete, which is set for later this year.

"As a stand-alone company, the new commercial and international business will have greater agility to meet the needs of its client base, maximize its potential, and realize significant growth across the globe," said Dr. Ralph Shrader, Booz Allen Hamilton chairman and CEO.
