The new Accenture Management Development Academy in India is an online, classroom and on-the-job training program based in Hyderabad. The leadership-development academy is targeted to Accenture's mid-level, India-based management professionals.

The corporate university, a joint venture of Accenture and the Indian School of Business, explores best practices from academia and industry; it also brings additional focus to the delivery-management skills of Accenture professionals focused on providing systems integration, technology consulting and outsourcing services, according to Accenture. The Centre for Executive Education and the Centre for IT and Networked Economies at the Indian School of Business have partnered with Accenture to develop academy curriculum.

Programs range from 18 to 24 months. Employees who complete the program will be awarded a certificate for excellence in delivery management.

Accenture invested $776 million in training during Accenture's last fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31. No figures related to the academy were released.
