According to published reports, IBM has been suspended from pursuing new government work. The suspension, which took effect March 27, has also resulted in subpoenas for IBM employees from a federal grand jury.

At issue is an $84 million contract that IBM pursued with the Environmental Protection Agency. According to the Associated Press, IBM lost the contact to CGI and subsequently protested the deal.

While only the EPA sought the suspension, once on federal agency issues a ban, others must comply.
