Chicago-based accounting consultancy Grant Thornton recently announced that it purchased certain assets of the Jenkintown, Pa,-based GR Consulting. As a result, three partners and 50 additional professionals joined Grant Thornton on Dec. 1.

GR primarily operates in the Northeast, though it has clients in Europe and Asia.
