Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an IT services, business solutions and outsourcing firm, has partnered with Roche, a research-focused pharmaceutical and diagnostics organization based in Basel, Switzerland. TCS will help Roche advance its Global Capacity Building Initiative.

This new Mumbai-based initiative will provide services to Roche's clinical data management, clinical programming, biostatistics and drug safety support departments in order to create what TCS calls a "flexible, scalable and high-quality partnership to support the demands of Roche's increasing drug pipeline."

Additional goals Roche has for the initiative, according to TCS, is leveraging its talent pool in India, maximizing synergies and gaining ongoing budgetary improvements, without sacrificing quality and service.

TCS's Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice employs more than 3,200 professionals, including pharmacologists, physicians and biomedical engineers.
