Sharon Marcil is a Senior Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group. Based in Washington, D.C., she leads the firm's Consumer Goods practice in the U.S. and is a core member of its healthcare practice. Previously, as worldwide head of Packaged Goods, she helped drive more than 20% revenue growth per year. She also serves as regional head of the firm's global Women's Initiative. Since assuming that role in 2004, the number of BCG women in North America has increased 35%. In July, she was named one of the Top 25 Consultants of 2007 by Consulting magazine.
Prior to joining BCG in 1993, Marcil worked as an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Marcil earned her MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, where she graduated with distinction. She earned her BA in economics, magna cum laude, with high honors in her major, from Duke University.
