Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Hyderabad, India, has reached an agreement with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), an inter-governmental organization that assists overseas workers and governments on global migration issues and operational challenges. As per the multi-year agreement, TCS will build and implement an integrated financial management solution for the Geneva-based organization.

The consultancy will create a comprehensive system that will provide a global solution for functions such as accounting, budgeting, donor relations, treasury, funds, grants management and donor reporting. TCS's system also will provide a corporate financial tool that links IOM's field missions across the world. This enables IOM, which has 320 locations, to meet two of its primary challenges-having a constant, up-to-date view of engaged funds on specific projects and meeting diverse donor reporting requirements.

"We have a vast array of financial responsibilities towards our donors and other stakeholders. As such, a key priority is to ensure that our financial operations are running smoothly and efficiently and that we remain cost effective. We are confident that TCS' expertise and experience will help us realize this objective," said Brunson McKinley, IOM director general.
