Slalom Consulting, a business and technology firm based here, opened three new offices as part of an aggressive expansion plan aimed at topping $100 million in revenue this year, according to John Tobin, national managing director of Slalom Consulting.

The new offices are located in Atlanta, Denver and San Francisco. Slalom employs some 400 billable consultants in its six U.S.-based offices.

Slalom's business model centers on hiring local consultants who concentrate on clients near the home office location, thus reducing travel time for its employees.

"Our consultants focus on one thing—doing what is right for our clients," Tobin said. "Because of our local-based model, we have the advantage of eliminating unessential activities that often get in the way of [serving] a client."

Slalom, which launched as Two Degree Consulting in 2001, counts Microsoft, Allstate, Boeing, Expedia, Motorola, GAP, Starbucks and Western Union as clients.
