– Archstone Consulting, a leading strategy, operations and CFO advisory management consulting firm, today announced that it has named Mark Simmons as Principal to lead the Operations practice in Europe. Based in London, Mr. Simmons will be responsible for growing Archstone Consulting's European Operations consulting capabilities and client base in key disciplines including Strategic Procurement, Operational Efficiency, Supply Chain Management, and New Product Development. He reports to Bob Derocher, Principal and Global Operations practice leader.

Mr. Simmons, 44, joins Archstone Consulting with more than 17 years of industry experience specifically in the areas of operations, sourcing and supply chain management. Mr. Simmons was previously Lead Partner of Ernst & Young's Global Sourcing and Supplier Management Practice and a Principal at Booz Allen & Hamilton, based in London. Most recently, Mr. Simmons was Vice President at Efficio, a London-based procurement and supply chain consulting firm, where he developed the industrials market segment, including equipment, automotive, aerospace and chemical industries and served clients on a global basis. He has also served in executive Supply Chain Management roles at CompAir Ltd UK and PolyOne Corporation.

Mr. Simmons, widely recognized in the area of Strategic Procurement, was selected as one of the "top 50 sourcing professionals" by iSource magazine. He has published numerous articles and speaks regularly on current trends and best practices in Supply Chain Management.

Mr. Simmons holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He resides with his family in the UK and France.
