Firm Management

It's no secret that every year consulting firms lose their most promising employees to business schools.

This flow of MBA candidates is one conduit Accenture would now like to cork.

According to Walt Shill, global leader of Accenture's Strategy Practice, Accenture is fine-tuning a mini-MBA curriculum where Accenture employees could receive a business management education without having to leave the company.

"The idea is to accelerate their development from the technology side into the business and strategy side," says Shill, who believes the firm's 130,000-member talent pool gives Accenture an advantage over consulting's less sizable strategy houses.
