Bain & Company has hired John Ott as partner in the firm's UK Financial Services Practice. Ott will be based in London where he will focus on helping Bain's financial services clients in the UK and Asia on growth strategies, cross-border expansions, organizational effectiveness, mergers and acquisitions and change management.
Ott has over twenty years of experience in the financial services sector working in retail and wholesale banking, insurance and private equity. He joins Bain from Barclays Bank PLC in London where he was group director, strategy and planning. Prior to Barclays, he worked at McKinsey & Company as a principal in the Financial Institutions Practice in North America and Asia and at US Bancorp as assistant vice president.
Ott holds a Masters degree in International Affairs from the John Hopkins University.
