Aon Corp. is expected to announce soon that it has hired a 22-year Deloitte Consulting LLP veteran to head the U.S. arm of its underperforming consulting business, according to a published report in today's Chicago Tribune.

The newspaper reports that Kathryn Hayley, currently Deloitte's Midwest managing director, will become Aon Consulting's new chief executive in the U.S.

Aon has recently made several changes to the business, including tapping Gregory Case, a former McKinsey & Co. consultant as CEO job of Aon Corp. and another McKinseyite, Andrew Appel, as CEO of Aon's worldwide consulting business.

Hayley, who lives in the Chicago area, is expected to start at Aon in late May or early June, reports the Tribune.
