Paul Ruflin Joins Deloitte Consulting as Principal

(Mar. 9, 2006) – New York — Paul L. Ruflin, the former president and chief executive officer of the Eclipsys Corporation, has joined Deloitte Consulting LLP as a principal in the Life Sciences and Health Care Practice. Ruflin, who led Eclipsys from July 2002 to April 2005, will work to expand Deloitte's Life Sciences and Health Care Practice by identifying market new opportunities, developing new solutions, and enhancing existing solution offerings for Deloitte's clients. Prior to Eclipsys, Ruflin worked from 1977 to 2002 at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Ernst & Young Consulting, where he was the chief operating officer of the North American Practice for his final year after serving as the National Director for the Health Managed Care Practice. Deloitte Consulting LLP is the top-ranked firm offering health care and life sciences consulting services, according to the 2005 Kennedy Information Market Intelligence Report.
