NTT DATA Excellence in Financial Services Age: 27
Since joining NTT DATA, Sindy Pena has embraced all the changes and challenges she could find in NTT Data’s Financial Services practice and the entire Financial Services industry.
“The dynamic nature of consulting keeps my interests piqued and my enthusiasm to learn and contribute at a consistently high level,” she says. “During my time working on bank mergers and acquisitions, I saw the unique challenges and successes of each conversion. I am grateful for the opportunities to partner with clients and dig deep to solve their ever-changing challenges.”
Pena says she is most proud of the partnerships she has formed with clients and co-workers. “Every day, we are presented with opportunities to enrich our personal and professional lives through others, and I am grateful for each experience and project —from the great ones to the challenging ones.”
NTT DATA’s collaborative culture has fostered the development of friendships. It’s not surprising, then, that Pena builds teams, manages people and leads initiatives for some of the firm’s largest FSI client accounts. She has spearheaded bank merger activities that have spanned 245 branches and ten-plus work-streams, communications with regional executives and compliance with numerous state and federal regulations. Pena has been promoted three times in three years from entry-level analyst to Principal consultant. And she’s still just 27 years old.
“The biggest factor to my success thus far has undoubtedly been the immeasurable support I have received from the NTT Data leadership and my team members,” Pena says. “When I started at NTT, I had so much to learn about both the industry and being a consultant. Lucky for me, our offices are filled with people who are willing to share their knowledge, answer questions and work together to achieve success.”
