Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm’s exceptional growth?
Alston: With the success we’ve seen at RedCloud, we don’t feel like we reinvented the wheel, just went back to the origins of our industry, leveraging an integrity-based, transparent approach to consulting where all stakeholders are fully informed and working together for success. Returns on this approach show that both consultants and clients appreciate the respect, transparency and a “pay it forward” mentality set down.
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Alston: 2016 looks to be our biggest year to date fueled by a healthy local economy, a set of amazing senior leaders we’ve brought on board and new business opportunities around every corner in new industries.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm’s outlook for 2017? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Alston: Call it chance, luck, or the result of hard work and foresight, but being located in the Seattle market provides RedCloud with a massive opportunity for 2017 and beyond. For anyone who has been in this market recently, the vibe, buzz and exploding growth in the technology, wireless, healthcare, real estate development and other related fields have set the table for RedCloud to continue our company’s rapid growth, while maintaining a high bar of service and opening doors of career opportunity for our team. We couldn’t be more excited about the future.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm’s biggest challenges in 2017?
Alston: As the firm grows quickly, we are of course in need of more top quality consultants that meet our high standards for ethics, client service and transparency—those founding principles that make us who we are. Knowing our people are our product and our best assets, as a firm we must continue to be highly selective as we grow, which of course presents a challenge in a competitive marketplace like Seattle. Finding those jewels, demonstrating the unique work environment we’re creating and bringing them on board will always be a challenge—but one we value above everything else, it’s the core of why we started RedCloud.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting’s Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Alston: We’ve been in this industry long enough to realize the high honor and value such an award provides.
