Excellence in Client Service

Behrad Mahdi, a Principal with Censeo Consulting Group, has some pretty lofty inspiration when to comes to career advice—he turns to Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Mahdi lives that mantra each day. Madhi has been instrumental in leading the way for Censeo to help the Federal Government negotiate Department-wide licensing agreements, thus saving U.S. taxpayers over $500 million.

“Achieving these results has required my colleagues and me to be creative, analytical, and patient, always pushing our thinking,” Mahdi says. “Delivering such outstanding results for our public sector clients with public and national security missions is always thrilling!”

He says Censeo is a special place—authentic people seeking to make a difference for the most important public sector organizations. “I am energized by Censeo’s mission and empowered by its entrepreneurial and supportive culture,” Mahdi says. “My horizon at Censeo feels boundless.”

Mahdi joined Censeo after receiving an MBA and MPA from Harvard and his rapid growth led to him being the youngest elected Principal in Censeo history. What’s the secret to this success?

“Always seeking feedback,” he says. “I’ve learned that my mistakes and failures have generated the most professional development and growth for me. I am constantly seeking feedback from clients and colleagues, trying to listen to their concerns or suggestions.”

And being a Rising Star “validates that the work we do at Censeo is important. It recognizes the patience, trust, and time investment mentors and colleagues have made.”
