Revenue Growth: 164%
Rightpoint is a technology and design services company serving Fortune 1,000 companies. The company makes experiences that amplify brands and business through creative and technology services including web, mobile, social, Internet of Things, eCommerce and Cloud. With a client base of more than 250 companies, Rightpoint has worked with top-notch clients across the U.S., according to Ross Freedman & Brad Schneider, Co-CEOs of Rightpoint.
Both Freedman and Schneider sat down to discuss the firm’s 164 percent growth and No. 19 ranking on the Fastest Growing Firms list.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your exceptional growth?
Freedman: We believe our rapid growth over the past few years has been attributed to several factors: 1) Market-relevant—Drawing strength from both a UX/Creative/Strategy standpoint as well as a technology/consulting standpoint, we feel like we are in a category of one. 2) People Obsession—we have created a truly unique and magnetic culture at Rightpoint. This has enabled us to attract and retain the very best people. And 3) Customer Obsession—everything we do revolves around the customer. We go above and beyond to WOW our customers, which in turn, creates customers for life. Some 75 percent of our business is repeat business with large, blue chip / Fortune 500 companies.
Consulting: How is 2015 shaping up for your firm?
Schneider: 2015 has been the best year in the history of the company. We hired over 100 people and have achieved a 37 percent year over year revenue growth rate—all organic. In 2015, we also received an infusion of $55M in capital from a NY based Private Equity Firm, Stella Point Capital. All in all, it has been a banner year.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm’s outlook for 2016? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Schneider: Rightpoint expects to have another high growth rate year. We plan to put our capital to work by acquiring a firm on the east or west cost to give Rightpoint a national footprint. We see the most opportunities working with CMOs in the following areas: mobile, IoT, cloud, customer engagement/digital strategy and Salesforce / Force.com. IT budgets have shifted to Marketing and we see the role that digital plays within any business growing exponentially. Rightpoint is uniquely positioned as a digital agency to take advantage of this trend.
Consulting: What do you see as the biggest challenges for your firm in 2016?
Freedman: Our biggest challenge is (and has always has been) finding great people. We are very picky and look deeper than the resume to a person’s true character.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting’s Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Freedman: This is truly a prestigious honor. Several years ago, we were named one of Consulting magazine’s Seven Small Jewels. When we received that reward, we felt as though the company had hit a major milestone in terms of recognition in the marketplace. We feel the same way with this award.
