Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your exceptional growth?
Konschak: Our strong growth since 2011, and really since our start in 2007, has been a direct correlation with our market’s demands and our Team’s ability to meet those demands. The healthcare industry has seen tremendous changes in technology over the past decade, and our team has not only seen this dramatic shift but has also been a part of it.
Consulting: How is 2015 shaping up for your firm?
Konschak: We couldn’t be more proud of our 2015 year. We’ve seen more success this year than we ever have, and have expanded our service offerings to provide more proactive solutions to our clients’ future initiatives, inclusive of our cybersecurity, revenue analytics, and population health solutions. Exceeding our initial revenue projections for this year, we started cutting-edge projects with over a dozen new clients, brought on some incredibly talented consultants, and feel like we’re just getting started.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm’s outlook for 2016?
Konschak: Our four aligned practice lines—Advisory Services, Revenue Cycle Management, Activation Management, and Clinical Transformation—are gearing up for 2016 by focusing their strategic services to meet the needs of our clients. Our team has aligned our strategic services to meet market demands in the areas of cybersecurity, revenue analytics, and population health. In 2016 and beyond, we anticipate a huge industry focus in Population Health strategies, and have developed and expanded our population health-focused services, including data governance, business intelligence, Meaningful Use, value-based purchasing, health information exchange, and accountable care and clinical integration strategies.
Consulting: What do you see as the biggest challenges in 2016?
Konschak: One of the biggest challenges for our firm every year, and especially as we go into the 2016 year, will be anticipating and planning for the unknown, which by its nature is hard to do.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting’s Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Konschak: Receiving an award like this is always a humbling and exciting experience. We started in 2007 as a small group of passionate individuals, and since then, staying true to our original mission and vision, we’ve seen so much success. I’m in awe of how that passion has grown, and we’re stronger and more dedicated to improving healthcare, and achieving true healthcare reform than ever. As a firm, it means we’re doing something right—that our crazy idea eight years ago wasn’t so crazy after all.
