“CCG Catalyst leverages decades of deep industry experience to provide practical business strategies and organization, analytics, and technology consulting for our clients,” says Paul Schaus, President & CEO of CCG Catalyst Consulting Group. The firm, with 135 percent revenue growth, settles in at No. 25 on Consulting‘s Fastest Growing Firms. Schaus sat down with Consulting to discuss the firm’s performance.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to you exceptional growth?
Schaus: CCG Catalyst Consulting Group has a strong vision in place. The leadership is sensitive to the needs of our clients, which are banks and fintechs. We keep ahead of the trends and are able to assess problems that could affect our client’s business. We hire talent who are experts and former C-suite leaders in banking to cater to the changing needs of our clients.
Consulting: How is 2015 shaping up for your firm?
Schaus: It’s an exciting time in financial services industry, and banks are going through a transformation, which has opened doors for deeper consulting engagements in business strategy. We continue to be called upon to evaluate the bank’s business plan and provide business strategy that will lead our clients through transformation.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm’s outlook for 2016? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Schaus: I am enthusiastic about CCG Catalyst Consulting Group’s outlook for 2016! Not only will banks continue to need our expertise in business transformation, we have created opportunities to vet up-and-coming fintech startups and help these startup firms become viable. We will be launching CCG Catalyst Pro Group, a new business extension that supports the consulting practice by offering primary research on trending topics, catering to research needs of our clients, and design-thinking lab that provides education on business transformation. In addition, the CCG Catalyst is expanding growth internationally, where we are developing opportunities in South America, Israel, Asia, and Africa.
Consulting: What do you see as the biggest challenges in 2016?
Schaus: The marketplace for banks is consolidating, which is contributing the shrinking number of banks worldwide. Also contributing to this is banks not recognizing the need for innovation or transformation strategy. There’s plenty of opportunity to go around, but having access to the best consulting leadership can be challenging. At CCG Catalyst we take pride in our business acumen by providing unique strategies based on the business plans of our clients. We look for talent that provides out-of-the-box thinking with foundation of business banking.
Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting’s Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, your employees and your clients?
Schaus: It’s a terrific honor to be named one of Consulting’s Fastest Growing Firms! This is great for the positioning for our brand, and brings pride to our hard working employees. As for our clients they feel good about their relationship with our firm.
