In 2015, care providers and health plan payers are starting to see double, and not just from the noxious fumes pouring out of political discussions. As of June's Supreme Court ruling in King v. Burwell, the upheld tax credits effectively grant a federal funds-led commitment individual rather than employer sponsored healthcare.

This leads to more consumerism, demand for cost transparency, which leads to more accountability and risk shifted upon physicians and of course, to you, the paying patient. Commitment is here, it is in place Now, U.S. healthcare systems just have to transition from fee-for-service pay models to fee-for-value, it's time to reward care quality, lower TCC (total cost of care) and patient health outcomes. Like really, let's do that. All that. Right now.
