This is the fourth time and second year in a row for Philadelphia-based IBB Consulting Group as one of the Best Small Firms to Work For. Dr. Imran Shah, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of IBB Consulting Group, says IBB was founded 15 years ago with the goal of being a different kind of consulting firm.
“We would run a practice that saw every employee act as a custodian of our culture and values,” Shah says. “As such, this recognition serves as a constant reminder that we owe it to our teams to continue evolving and delivering the very best work experience that this industry has to offer, which results in the best experience for our clients.”
He says he views the consistent recognition an extremely high honor given how strongly the survey results directly tie to employee feedback. Over the past year, IBB has grown its team of consultants by 25 percent, leading to an even larger increase in revenue.
“We are fortunate to be in a continued strong growth phase that sees our consultants working on some of the largest and most exciting products, initiatives and M&A deals in cable, media and wireless,” Shah says. “Being so intimately close with the innovative entertainment and communication products and content that consumers love and touch every day is part of why morale at IBB Consulting is so high.”
Shah says firm leadership has worked hard to create an environment where all team members feel appreciated and empowered. “Our partners have a hands-on role in every project, and consultants at every level work directly with partners, participating in client-facing calls from Day 1,” he says.
“We also include our employees in all important decision-making, resulting in a shared sense of ownership. Though we grow ever-larger, these philosophies continue to define our culture, drive strong morale and result in one of the lowest attrition rates in the business.”
Shah says much like the new opportunities in convergence that were emerging when IBB was founded, the firm stands at the precipice of the next evolution of content delivery that will see new tech created, innovative business models deployed and consumers as the ultimate winners.
“It is IBB’s intention to remain at the core of these industry advancements, guiding crucial decision-making that will continue to transform how we view our favorite content and interact with the devices we love most,” Shah says.
On the survey, IBB excelled in the areas of Compensation & Benefits and Client Engagement. Shah says: “We are thrilled that two of our values excelled in the survey as they are representative of the culture of the firm,” he says. “Our consultants pride themselves on our client ownership culture and we really live our client’s business, as well as being able to work on full lifecycle projects and help clients connect the dots between strategy and execution.”
