EY announced that the systems consulting and integration business of Entegreat has joined EY member firms in the US, Canada and Costa Rica. The addition of Entegreat will enhance EY's manufacturing advisory capabilities and will help EY meet the evolving needs of clients for real-time actionable analytics that improve efficiency and productivity in manufacturing, production and supply chain, says Greg Jenko, the EY Americas Advisory Lead for Digital and Emerging Technology.

The move comes as factories across the US ramp up production and manufacturers seek new technology and professional services expertise to leverage the Internet of Things to create smarter supply chains to meet growing demand. In May, new factory orders hit a five-month high and the backlog of orders hit a six-month high, according to the Institute for Supply Management.

"The investments we make today will continue to help shape the Advisory practice of tomorrow," Jenko says. "By working closely with our clients, we can help create a more nimble, agile manufacturing industry and continue to live up to our purpose of building a better working world."
